About The Position

The Statistical Process Control Engineer at SEH America is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the statistical process control (SPC) program within manufacturing processes. This role is integral to the Quality Management Department, focusing on optimizing processes and improving organizational performance through effective data analysis and continual improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in implementing and overseeing statistical process control systems within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in statistical software like JMP, SAS, or Minitab and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in SPC software like camLine, Capstone, Tibco or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of statistical principles, control charting techniques, and data analysis methodologies.
  • Experience with quality management systems like ISO9001 and IATF16949.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Set site standards and improvement objectives in collaboration with the Quality Manager.
  • Develop and improve the existing SPC program to meet the specific needs of each manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of SPC practices with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and optimize the existing control chart program.
  • Ensure control charts accurately reflect process performance and support timely decision-making.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports for management and customer purposes.
  • Lead initiatives to improve process capability and reduce variability using statistical methods.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions based on data analysis findings.
  • Provide training and guidance to personnel involved in SPC activities.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and quality system requirements related to SPC.
  • Support audits by preparing documentation and facilitating discussions related to SPC practices.
