About The Position

CIS Secure will be leading a multi-year program in partnership with an industry Integrator to deliver a next-generation secure communication system for aircraft operations. Based in Ashburn, VA, this initiative will produce a ruggedized, military-grade VOIP solution that enables secure voice and data communication across multiple classified domains. The program spans the full engineering lifecycle, from requirements analysis and preliminary design through prototyping, integration, and verification testing, executed under AS6500, AS9100, and CMMI standards. The Senior Quality Engineer will serve as a main figure in the development and optimization of quality control processes. This effort offers an opportunity to help shape a program from the ground up and build a technical framework that will define long-term success. Requirements

All candidates must be a US Citizen or permanent resident at the the time of application.
All candidates must be clearable, an active and current DoD Secret clearance is desired.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education, certifications and related work experience.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
Ten or more (10+) years of progressively responsible experience in quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or process improvement within a production or assembly environment.
Experience leading root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
In depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
Familiarity with AS9100 and AS6500 Standards.

Nice To Haves

Masters degree, desired.
Lean Six Sigma, preferred.
Hands-on experience with supplier quality management, process validation, or new product introduction (NPI).
Knowledge of reliability testing, environmental stress screening (ESS), or regulatory compliance for specific industries.

Responsibilities

Lead complex investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Develop and optimize quality control processes, test methodologies, and inspection systems.
Drive continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
Lead supplier audits, qualification, and corrective action programs.
Train and mentor junior engineers and inspectors.
Interface directly with customers, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies.
