Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer & Senior Program Manager to join the team located in Mesa, AZ! Selected candidate will have a high impact on the business and will head up both the Attack Quality and Core Quality organizations. This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

  • Knowledge of policies and procedures that typically affect Vertical Lift Quality and/or the Company.
  • Interprets company-wide policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of skills and abilities required by managers to accomplish Vertical Lift Quality and/or company responsibilities.
  • Accountable for budget and policy recommendations.
  • Directs long-term operations of the Attack Quality and Mesa Core Quality organizations.
  • Represents Vertical Lift Quality as prime internal and external Attack Quality contact on contracts or operations.
  • Interacts with senior leaders or executives concerning matters of significance to the Company.
  • Works cooperatively cross-functionally and with other VL Quality peers.
  • Demonstrates agility and flexibility.
  • Embrace ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to accomplish results through direct managers.
  • Directly participates in establishing and administering multiple projects.
  • Able to analyze data and assess the health of key performance indicators and take corrective action when warranted.
  • Ensures that overall budgets, schedules and performance standards are realistically set and attained.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
  • 10+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • 10+ years of experience leading and managing diverse teams
  • 3+ years of experience working with Defense contracts and customer requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with quality tools such as Lean methodologies, RCCA
  • Advanced Degree, Master’s
  • 3+ years in a senior management position
  • Experience in creating metrics and utilizing data to drive performance improvements
  • Experience developing and maintaining close customer relationships.

  • Summary pay range: USD: $181,900 - $246,100
  • This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
