About The Position

Quality Engineer (Senior or Lead) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer (Senior or Lead) to join our team located in Ridley Park, PA! This position requires a Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Engineering Computer Science Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Mathematics Physics Chemistry Position Responsibilities: Level 4 Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Provides interpretation of complex requirements. Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities. Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Develops and implements corrective actions. Performs bench-marking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under minimal direction. Level 5 Advises others in the preparation of significant bids and proposals. Authors Quality plans for major programs. Advises suppliers and business partners in the development of their Quality plans to ensure the flow down of requirements. Consults at the business unit level to develop Quality criteria for supplier selection. Oversee the development of methods, procedures and metrics to ensure quality standards and practices for large programs and derivatives. Leads verification reviews to ensure adequate surveillance to validate product and process Quality requirements. Develops new methods for conducting product and process validation. Represents Quality in design reviews of the inter-relationship of multiple systems. Advises on development of methods for testing and approval of products, processes, equipment and measurement systems to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Performs bench-marking of enterprise best practices. Leads cross-functional continuous Quality improvement efforts. Develop new applications for advanced statistical methods. Works under consultative direction. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 5+ years of experience with quality Inspection and/or auditing
  • 5+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ year experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ year of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
