The Quality Engineer 2 will be responsible for the execution of various projects such as the implementation of Statistical Process Control, new inspection technologies and their associated programming and validation. Quality Engineer II will ensure the overall quality of manufactured products. They will investigate and disposition nonconforming product and work to prevent reoccurrence at the source by way of CAPA's, implementing control plans, and utilizing R&R and based gaging methods. Provide support to manufacturing and production needs in a timely manner by organizing required scrap, sorts, and rework for nonconforming material as necessary. Working in a team environment to collaborate with cross functional teams including Manufacturing, Production Planning, Supplier Quality, etc.

  • Coordinates and leads meetings to review and implement new technologies.
  • Create testing-related documentation, including test plans, cases/scripts and reports assessing quality and associated risks.
  • Develops various inspection techniques and procedures to ensure product integrity meets design specifications.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) from a quality perspective, including validation and risk analysis (FMEA, Control Plans).
  • Work with QA management to come up with new processes and roll them out across the organization.
  • Become efficient with responsible value stream and provide process improvements that will be beneficial for the company success.
  • Review and approve product and processes corrective and preventive action plans.
  • BS in a science required with a Bachelors in an Engineering field preferred.
  • ASQ CQE preferred. Six Sigma. SPC, familiarity with GD&T and quality tools.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, process engineering and experience with the execution and management of quality systems.

  • Information Monitoring- Setting up ongoing procedures to collect and review information needed to manage an organization or ongoing activities within it.
  • Technical proficiency- working experience with Unigraphics, gauge programming (CMM, digital comparator, vision system), working experience with Minitab performing gauge studies / capability analysis.
