Quality Engineer Level 1 - 1st Shift

Job Summary: We are looking for a QUALITY ENGINEER to maintain and manage the quality management system, policies, processes and supporting documentation that supports our organizational performance and objectives.
Requirements
- Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area at all time.
- Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
- In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or shop floor quality management system experience.
Nice To Haves
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure and report on effectiveness of the quality system.
- Manage, coordinate, conduct and execute an effective audit program of our quality management system.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departs across APP.
- Develop a familiarity and understanding of APP’s systems and databases.
- Prepare and facilitate training on our QMS and introduce new or changing requirements.
- Train employees in quality functions.
- Improve and manage the corrective action process and systems to assure elimination of root causes and timely response to identified issues.
- Perform contract and purchase order review.
- Disposition of discrepant material.
- Remain professional when interacting with customers and co-workers.
- Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.
