About The Position

Infosys is seeking a Quality Engineer Lead primary responsibility will be to translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks. The chosen candidate will apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development. The role will require strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment while contributing towards developing and adhering to best practices for developing applications that are scalable, relevant, and critical to the project. We are seeking a Quality Engineering Manager with deep experience in aerospace structures to lead quality activities across metallic and composite airframe components. This role manages a team of QEs supporting design, production, and supplier operations to ensure structural integrity, regulatory compliance, and flawless execution. Lead and develop a QE team focused on aircraft structural components (fuselage, wings, empennage, composite assemblies). Ensure product and process compliance with AS9100, FAA/EASA structural requirements, and customer standards. Oversee FAI, structural inspection planning, NDI/NDT coordination, material certification, and special process controls. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions related to structural defects, nonconformances, fatigue/damage tolerance issues, and manufacturing escapes. Partner with Design Engineering on structural qualification, test planning, DFM/A, and risk mitigation (FMEA, PFMEA). Track quality performance metrics (scrap, rework, structural defects, MRB trends) and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Support supplier quality for metallics, composites, machining, fabrication, and bonded assemblies

Requirements

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Wichita, KS or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of Experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in Programming

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ CQE/CQA or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
  • 4+ years of aerospace structures quality or manufacturing experience.
  • Strong understanding of AS9100, FAA Part 21 and structural conformity requirements.
  • Experience leading QE teams or complex cross‑functional quality initiatives.
