About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer KC-46 (Associate or Mid-Level) to join the Quality Assurance group located in Everett, WA. Join the KC‑46 Quality team and play a mission‑critical role ensuring the safety, reliability, and global readiness of the Air Force's next‑generation refueling tanker. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g. Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO 9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100)).

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • 3+ years of experience in quality inspection and/or auditing.
  • 3+ years of experience with drawing, reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Responsibilities

  • Research contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.
  • Develop sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze capability assessments to support supplier selection activities.
  • Participate in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
  • Perform data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
  • Provide material review dispositions for non-conformances.
  • Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Compile performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
  • Represent Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
  • Provide Quality interpretation of requirements.
  • Conduct capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.
  • Perform analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
  • Recommend corrective actions to address non-conformances.
  • Perform benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
