This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern as a Quality Engineer. In this role, you will analyze data, assess risk at various levels, and grow quality science toolbox. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of data analysis and MS Office.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Science.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with the ability to create reports, analyze data, and present information clearly and effectively in both academic and professional settings.
  • Working knowledge of qualitative analytics, including data interpretation, process evaluation, and application of analytical methods to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
  • Clearance Level: Secret

Nice To Haves

  • Green Belt Certified, with a strong foundation in Lean Six Sigma principles, process improvement, and data-driven problem solving.
  • Experienced in performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing Corrective Actions to resolve quality issues, prevent recurrence, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Skilled in analyzing failure data and performance metrics to identify trends, evaluate process reliability, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing and quality systems.
