The Quality Engineering Intern will get hands-on experience with continuous improvement project management and a variety of compliance requirements associated with medical device manufacture at the BD site in Broken Bow, Nebraska. This position will be exposed to the design and maintenance of quality systems that meet and exceed ISO and FDA guidelines. Constant evolution of the healthcare industry provides the Quality Engineering Intern with a great learning experience. Specifically, this position will participate in engineering tasks, such as process development and validation of new or upgraded equipment. The individual fulfilling the role will perform statistical data analysis to assess machine capability. The position will also be exposed to other types of studies, including measurement systems analysis.

Requirements

  • Completion of Junior year towards a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences or Quality Sciences.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and strong leadership potential.
  • Ability to learn quickly, deal with ambiguity, take initiative and achieve results.
  • Excellent written and communications skills.
  • Proven organization and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship or Co-op experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field desired, but not required.

Responsibilities
