We’re looking for brilliant Quality Engineering interns who are passionate about solving some of the most difficult technical challenges the industry faces today. We’re looking for interns who are not only adept at abstract problem solving and who want to get in the trenches with fellow developer interns in one of the most fun, all-in, high-velocity environments you’ll ever experience. This internship is based at our headquarters in McLean, Virginia. Appian was built on a culture of in-person collaboration, which we believe is a key driver of our mission to be the best. Interns in this program are expected to be in the office 5 days a week to fully experience our culture, learn directly from peers and mentors, and contribute to projects in a collaborative environment. Being in the office provides more opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate with the exceptional people across Appian.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree with a STEM major.
  • Interest in working in a software environment.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and abstract problem solving skills.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture and commitment to robust solutions.
  • Team-oriented mindset and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

  • Solve difficult technical challenges in Quality Engineering.
  • Collaborate with fellow developer interns.
  • Learn the software development lifecycle from planning to testing and shipping.
  • Ensure Appian’s high standards for quality are met throughout the process.
