About The Position

The Quality Engineer II is a mid-level professional that is responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards, while also improving quality processes and reducing defects. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and support product development. Ensure that supplied materials and products comply with relevant quality standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements. Participate in problem solving activities with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Product Support Engineering to identify cause of non-conformances and implement appropriate corrective actions. Work with cross-functional teams to meet company quality, cost, and delivery metrics. Develop and maintain QA work instructions, check sheets, and inspection instructions. Perform process audits for manufacturing and inspection to ensure compliance for machining, assembly, and inspection are accurate and being followed. Perform capability studies and part layouts on the CMM and other measurement equipment to produce Initial Sample Inspection Reports for Engineers Works co-operatively with shop personnel to identify and resolve any nonconforming issues that are evident. Prepares statistical information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Oversee and ensure good containment processes to limit risk, of non-conforming materials or processes.
