About The Position

The Quality Engineer II position is a dynamic and key member of our Quality team and will be responsible for Quality Engineering and Continuous Improvement activities relating to external customers, internal processes, and suppliers. This position will have responsibility to drive strategic corrective / preventative action projects as well as Strategic Quality Plan initiatives. You will report to the Senior Quality Engineering Manager on a full-time basis on-site at our Phoenix location. Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis of reports and production data and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products and recommends corrective actions when necessary
  • Compile reporting data to provide an overhaul scorecard of quarterly metrics for presentation to Sr. Leadership
  • Implements, evaluates, and revises, technical quality assurance protocols/methods
  • Ensures activities and items are following Honeywell quality assurance standards applicable government regulations and customers’ requirements
  • Works directly with customers to support product/process evaluations, audits, and compliance to customer-specific requirements
  • Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed
  • Support product/process evaluations, audits
  • Performs internal audits of processes and functions to assure continued compliance to international standards, requirements, and applicable government regulations
  • Leads and facilitates multi-disciplined RCCA and problem-solving
  • Position will support compliance to ISO9001, AS9100
  • Ability to Review and Interpret Repair and Overhaul Manuals and Engineering drawings
  • Ability to Review and Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Ability to set up, modify and create SAP inspection plans
  • Ability to create, review and control Procedures and Work Instruction
