About The Position

Iteris is looking for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer II in the Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes. They will work closely with cross-functional teams and our production staff to implement quality control measures, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous quality enhancement initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required in Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial, or related field
  • Over three (3) years of experience in manufacturing quality engineering role
  • Strong knowledge of quality control methods, tools, and techniques
  • Experience with Lean, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in quality assurance within the electronics industry
  • Strong knowledge of quality control standards and methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

  • Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure compliance with standards to include Receiving, Work in Process, and Final Inspection
  • Monitors and tracks all items in materials review board (MRB) and leads the disposition review meeting
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure product quality meets industry standards
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address manufacturing, supplier, or process issues
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing activities and data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all quality assurance activities
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality-related issues and drive process improvements
  • Lead internal and third-party audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, ISO certification, and Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Participate in new product development projects to provide quality engineering input and support
  • In partnership with purchasing, qualify new vendors, participate in onsite inspections of vendor facility, validate quality systems, etcetera
  • Train staff in quality control procedures and best practices
  • Monitor and report on quality performance metrics

Benefits

  • Base salary between $102,400 and $114,100
  • Actual pay offered may be below or above these amounts, depending on the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
