We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer I to join our Supplier Quality team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Experience using quality inspection methodology
- Experience using MS Office tools (excel, word)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred majors would be Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical engineering
- Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills.
- High energy, self – starter with ability to perform work under general direction
- Previous work experience, engineering experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability in developing solutions to issues using an organized systemic approach
Responsibilities
- Resolve requests from suppliers and buyers on supplier quality requirements and approved supplier issues.
- Working closely with members of supplier quality, supply chain, program quality and engineering to address issues preventing material procurement.
- Create and publish supplier quality performance metrics / data. This will include analyzing defect and performance data to identifying trends, key drivers and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in management of supplier master data such as Quality Management System and supplier scope changes.
- Engineering review of drawings and related documentation to determine appropriate quality requirements for purchased parts
