How Will You Make an Impact? As a Quality Engineer I at our Auburn Hills, MI facility, you will support product and process quality across manufacturing operations. You will assist in implementing quality controls, conducting inspections and audits, supporting supplier quality activities, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement. Your work will help ensure compliance with quality standards, reduce defects, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Location: On‑site at our Auburn Hills, MI facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
  • Entry‑level to early‑career experience in a manufacturing or quality environment preferred.
  • Understanding of Control Plans and quality documentation.
  • Experience or familiarity with FAI and incoming inspection processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control techniques.
  • Ability to conduct audits and inspections effectively.
  • Basic understanding of Quality Engineering principles and industry standards.
  • Exposure to supplier quality management concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Control Plans for manufacturing processes.
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Conduct Incoming Inspections of raw materials and components.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing processes to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Execute product audits to assess compliance with quality requirements.
  • Perform in‑process and final quality control inspections throughout the production cycle.
  • Apply quality engineering principles to resolve issues and improve product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Support Supplier Quality Management activities, including audits and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document quality processes, inspection results, procedures, and corrective actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
