We are seeking an experienced Quality Electrical Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in electro-mechanical industrial products. The ideal candidate will design and implement new test systems for electronic production testing, maintain and improve existing systems, and collaborate with inspectors and technicians to ensure product quality. This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

  • Collaborate with R&D during new product development to plan inspection processes and proactively address potential quality issues.
  • Source and integrate equipment for testing and analyzing electronic assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Design and implement custom applications to automate and/or control inspection processes.
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of all electrical test systems; troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation to support quality control for new and existing products.
  • Lead or contribute to Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) initiatives.
  • Partner with manufacturing engineering to develop preventive action plans addressing electronic product nonconformities.
  • Partner with suppliers in resolving electronic product quality concerns.
  • Provide technical guidance—through verbal instructions, sketches, or schematics—to technicians for rework of assemblies, maintenance of test equipment, and implementation of new testing solutions.
  • Support ISO documentation and ensure compliance with outside certification agencies.
  • Assist UL and CSA auditors during unannounced audits.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Experience in the following areas:
  • Creating applications in LabVIEW, Python and similar programming languages
  • Test system design and validation
  • Experience with Arduino, PLCs, and Embedded Controllers
  • Experience working with oscilloscopes and multimeters and possessing some basic soldering skills
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies and equipment
  • Ability to multi-task and a desire to work in a “hands-on” environment
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and relationship building skills
  • Ability to prioritize, negotiate and work with a variety of internal and external customers
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the company’s mission
  • Effective in a team environment as well as performing assignments individually
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
  • Predictable and reliable attendance required
  • Position requires 40 hours/5 days a week in-person at the Company’s facility
