Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Quality Engineer Asc. In this role, you will analyze business & technical requirements to create process designs, support & perform software development testing, and execute root cause analysis & corrective action activities in support of digital transformation projects. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of continuous improvement; aerospace, heavy equipment, and/or automotive manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly methods & technologies; and general product or process engineering requirements interpretation. Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Ability to travel as required. Ability to work on-site a minimum of two days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Aerospace, Quality, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, such as metallic machining, composite layup, and aerospace, heavy equipment, or automotive assembly
  • Effective written, verbal, listening, and technical communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, team-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • This position will require a government security clearance
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Ability to work on-site a minimum of two days per week

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing inspection methods, work instructions, and procedures for manufactured and supplier-provided products
  • Ability to use causal analysis and root cause analysis tools to investigate and resolve technical and process issues
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM, manufacturing planning systems, and metrology software
  • Experience defining and tracking performance metrics for continuous process improvement
  • Familiarity with configuration and data management processes
