About The Position

Quality Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level) to join our team located in Berkeley, MO! This position requires a Bachelor's degree in one of the following relevant fields of study: Engineering Computer Science Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Mathematics Physics Chemistry Data Science IT (Information Technology) Biology Position Responsibilities: Level 2 Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation. Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities. Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under general supervision. Level 3 Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Provides Quality interpretation of requirements. Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities. Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances. Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under general direction. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study
• 1+ year of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• 1+ year of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
• 1+ year of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
• 3+ years of experience with quality Inspection and/or auditing
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• 3+ years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
• 3+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
