As our new Quality Engineer, you will: Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborates with engineering laboratory and production functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess control and manage risks of product quality and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Audits quality systems for development acceptance criteria (parameters based on product result). May undertake root cause analysis of incidents requiring corrective action. Ensures that corrective measures and deviation meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality methodologies and utilize quality tools to help drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, work well with diverse groups of people and be able to function independently of direct supervision.
Must have demonstrated Quality Engineering experience in ISO 9000 or AS9100 manufacturing environment.

Previous experience with the following systems/software: Deltek Costpoint MRP/ERP, FileMaker PRO, Jira
Previous experience in ISO 9000 or AS9100 QMS environment
Knowledge of, or certification to IPC 610/620
Knowledge of various quality system methodologies 8D, Lean, 5 Why's, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, 8-D, DFMEA, PFEMA, PPAP, etc. preferred

Responsibilities

Monitor, communicate and improve key Quality KPI's
Establish specific short / long term quality goals for area(s) of assignment
Support problem solving and root cause analysis activities to eliminate recurrence of production nonâconformances
Work to resolve Quality technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of internal processes and procedures
Strategically lead performance improvement projects in an effort to increase the capability of consistently meeting our requirements.
Identify and record any problems relating to the product process and quality system
Lead QC representative to change review board and ECN approvals
Review and update internal inspection requirements/documentation
Work with Supplier Quality Engineer related to communication of supplier nonconformances
Assist MRB Chair in managing Control of Nonconforming Materials
Verify the implementation of solutions/corrective actions
