About The Position

The position involves performing product assurance activities to ensure that the product's design meets the customer's technical data requirements and product acceptance criteria.

Requirements

  • BS Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Manufacturing) or equivalent experience required.
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills, including statistical data analysis and interpretation.
  • Strong background in the use and understanding of key manufacturing performance metrics.
  • Strong communication skills in English-verbal & written, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to pass eye exam with a minimum 20/20 vision that may be corrected via eyeglasses or contact lenses as required.
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Good reading vision; ability to sit/stand up to 8 hours a day.
  • Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous engineering experience within a PCBA environment.
  • Working knowledge of Industry and Military Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review supplier quality data and nonconformances. Provide dispositions of suspect supplier parts and work with the supplier/manufacture on corrective action and implementation or escape prevention through the use of quality inspection plans and quality specifications.
  • Assure parts and components as received for inspection in the most efficient manner while maintaining the high quality standards required.
  • Review and define control points within the manufacturing processes and implements them through the use of quality inspection plans and quality specifications.
  • Partner with TTM operators, inspector(s), suppliers and Process Engineering on daily questions or issues that arise from general daily activities.
  • Interact with customers, suppliers, and management on quality related concerns from the manufacturing area affecting product compliance, corrective and preventative actions.
  • Review customer purchase orders and defined quality clauses through Contract Review.
  • Support completion of First Article Inspection Reports, FAIRs, and other essential quality systems.
  • Apply working knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP. Active member of the QMS and EHS internal audit team.
  • Aid in training associates in department specific work procedures.
  • Coordinate inspection as required and perform in house self-release source activities as required.
  • Coordinate defect escape prevention activities with QC and Production Manager for all production and inspection departments.
  • Support monthly Continuous Improvement Meeting with Production and Quality Departments.
  • All other assigned duties as required within the quality organization.
