About The Position

The Quality Engineer provides quality control direction and support to internal DENSO support Teams, suppliers and customers in a timely and professional manner. This role includes on-site verification, identification of quality concerns, and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 0-3 years of related experience

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops and implements techniques and programs to ensure that quality levels are maintained in accordance with the organization's quality standards.
• Collaborates to establish specifications, controls and quality metrics, including participation in reviewing and/or creating PFMEA and Control Plans.
• Monitors various data sources to identify, contain and lead resolution to process and product quality issues.
• Administers Material Alerts to track identified field and zero-mile issues.
• Coordinates activities to implement countermeasures and track effectiveness.
• Coordinates product testing and teardown with quality testing technicians and develops resulting summary reports to management, customers and/or other stakeholders.
• Researches, plans, develops and implements continuous improvement (Kaizen) programs.
• Visits the customer to resolve quality concerns and sort questionable product to ensure quality standards are met.
• Investigates the root cause of quality defects at the customer and those that arise out of zero-mile or warranty claims.
• Initiates and updates quality documents including control verification, inspection standards, etc.
• Maintains and updates corrective action log and problem history.
• Verifies and monitors corrective and preventive action effectiveness.
• Ensures all work areas meet 5S standards.
• Follows all procedures and work instructions and makes recommendations to improve the process.
