About The Position

Quality & Eligibility Specialist (WIOA) Full Time Des Moines, IA National Able Network National Able Network, a dynamic and growing nonprofit agency specializing in the delivery of innovative employment and training programs recently acquired a new grant in Iowa and has an exciting opportunity for a Quality & Eligibility Specialist to start. The Quality & Eligibility Specialist works with a team to deliver employment services including screening candidates for eligibility and compliance, assessing barriers to employment and employment goals, Participates in delivering effective training and support, referring to outside agencies for other services (as appropriate) and supporting employment with retention services to clients/participants. Conducts internal audit and monitoring activities, program files and assists in providing oversight and continual improvement to the management of cases. Will also collaborate & partner with positions such as: account managers office managers, career coaches, training professionals and others to meet the needs of clients and participants.

Requirements

  • An experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; applies company and funder policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
  • Receives specific directions for, new projects or assignments
  • Clearly articulates and communicates program benefits/requirements in both written and verbal communications with clients, funders and all colleagues
  • Working knowledge of PC software (MS-Office, Excel, Word, Outlook and internet)
  • Organization skills, high attention to detail and consistent, reliable follow-through
  • Service-oriented, empathetic and able to interact and develop rapport with a diversified population
  • Team player who can also take initiative and work independently
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines
  • High energy level and composure to work under pressure in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful work environment
  • High School Diploma or GED required; plus Associates degree OR 2-3 years of experience working in a job relevant field

Responsibilities

  • Conducts internal quality assurance compliance audits of program paper files and electronic records in appropriate systems.
  • Keep informed of changing rules related to program, by funders and other entities both internal and external to the agency
  • Establish clear communications and able to articulate both verbally and in writing with clients, career coaches, colleagues and management to ensure consistency in criteria and rules related to eligibility and compliance
  • Conducts orientations and eligibility checks for a multitude of cases including rushed and complicated cases
  • Works with clients/participants to complete intake paperwork, assesses eligibility and reviews data with clients for accuracy; Responsible for documenting and preparing program registration; reviewing and verifying eligibility and compliance
  • Conducts eligibility training to agency new hires supporting the program, Title V and other staff
  • Support the overall department and agency goals by performing other duties as required or assigned
