The Director oversees system wide quality programs developing quality improvement objectives, managing and executing program deliverables according to the program plan as defined by the program charter. Through a multi-program analysis, in collaboration with leadership, prioritizes program deliverables which are identified to have the greatest positive impact on outcomes based on a systematic weighting algorithm. The Director serves as a member of the hospitals administrative team, participating in the establishment of hospital- and organization-wide goals and objectives, and development of strategic plans for achieving those goals and objectives. The Director leads &/or participates on organization-wide interdisciplinary teams and committees. Oversees and directs Quality Management. Recruits, hires, orients, coaches and manages disciplinary actions. Manages budget development, monitoring, and implementation of cost-containment measures. Collaborates with departments in planning for and providing services as they relate to hospital and the service area. Ensures good communication and coordination of those services with other services in the hospital service area. Champions and leads hospital-based Performance Improvement, Quality Assurance and Risk Management initiatives with employees, board members, administrators and medical staff members. Ensures that data collection and reporting supports hospital and organization-wide quality monitoring efforts by providing quality-related data for all facilities and appropriate benchmarking as requested. Works collaboratively with organization-wide and hospital services to ensure hospitals continuous compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations and that hospital achieves and maintains accreditation/certification under JCAHO, CARF, ASCP and other applicable accrediting agency standards. Serves as a member of the hospitals administrative team, including taking administrative call, attending board meetings and/or medical staff meetings, and serving as a role model. Facilitates the professional growth and leadership development of managers and employees within areas of responsibility. Identifies and promotes opportunities for staff development. Qualified Candidate should have and be able to demonstrate a proven track record in building and executing quality programs in mental health divisions. Experience with DBHS and the Joint Commission required
