The Quality & Data Analytics Co-op position at BMW Manufacturing Company is designed to provide students with a hands-on learning experience in a dynamic environment. From the outset, co-op students are integrated into the team, given their own areas of responsibility, and encouraged to contribute their ideas. This role supports various areas including Assembly Test, Finish, Rework, and New Model Launch, focusing on process improvements, innovations, and the development of software tools. Students will engage in problem-solving related to quality and process flow, collaborating with department management teams to enhance transparency in quality landscapes and improve vehicle and information flow management. The co-op will involve working on several projects aimed at improving key performance indicators (KPIs) and developing new methods and tools. This includes creating mobile software or hardware solutions to streamline defect documentation processes and enhancing visibility of plant quality process adherence. Students will also support management and quality teams in optimizing offline vehicle flow through complex testing and rework areas, aiming to simplify processes and improve on-time delivery. Additionally, the role includes preparing for new vehicle launches by enhancing production, testing, and finishing processes, as well as creating innovative dashboards to visualize the intricacies of launching future vehicles in Plant 10.
