Requirements

  • Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and up to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team.
  • Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machinery.
  • Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs receiving, in-process and final inspection to maintain quality standards.
  • Provide training and mentoring in the use of inspection equipment and techniques to less experienced colleagues.
  • Keep the work area clean according to GMP standards.
  • Reads and understands documentation such as blueprints, mechanical assemblies, part list and procedures manuals.
  • Ensure quality product consistently, using measuring methods (GD&T) and measuring equipment as a Calipers, Micrometer, Filler Gauges, GoNoGo, Dial Indicators, Depth Mic’s, Positector, Temp/RH Meter.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner per the JSA.
  • Records inspection results and initiates nonconformance reports log for defective parts and materials.
  • Conduct and assist with In Process Audits as needed.
  • Assist in Quality/Safety Training presentations and documentation.
  • Perform and coordinate UN/DOT testing when products become due.
  • Calibrate and maintain calibration records of quality measuring equipment.
  • Perform oven tests at frequencies required.
  • Collect data for the Quality Specialist when required.
  • Assist in the Design of Experiments when needed.
  • May assist in cycle counts as needed.
  • Perform jobs as requested by the Quality Specialist/Production Superintendent.
