About The Position

The Quality Administrative Coordinator reports to the Quality Director, and assists with managing departmental resources, databases, data sets and analytic tools that support quality improvement activities. This role interacts directly with quality team members, physicians, nursing and ancillary departments/services and committees by assisting with scheduling, minutes, reporting measures, and coordinating quality improvement activities and the collection of data to drive performance improvement across the organization.

Requirements

  • Required high school diploma.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred 4 year college degree or commensurate experience in a healthcare field.
  • Preferred 2 years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Preferred 2 years experience in a clinical department.
  • Preferred 2 years experience in database management and chart auditing
  • Preferred 2 years experience with healthcare regulations (CMS and DNV)
  • Preferred 2 years experience with Epic and/or other EMR's.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in chart reviews, Peer Review and provider professional practice activities and reporting.
  • Assists Quality Director with drill down of core measure detail to analyze trends.
  • Assists Quality Director with administrative support to the incident reporting system.
  • Provide administrative support to committees and org-wide huddles by scheduling, preparing, distributing agenda's and supporting documents to attendees.
  • Utilize active listening skills to capture and document key points, discussions, decisions, and action items during meetings and transcribe them into accurate meeting minutes.
  • Calendar and schedule management of self and others
  • Effectively communicates with Sr. Leaders, Medical Staff Leadership, Medical Staff members and department managers regarding performance improvement activities.
  • Responds to requests in a timely manner.
  • Provides overview of data and observations of results to identify areas for improvement as well as preparing presentations as needed.
  • Conducts data abstraction and reporting functions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Works with Quality Director and vendor to clarify abstracting issues.
  • Responds to issues identified in data validation processes.
  • Collaborates with physicians, departments, committees and multidisciplinary in analyzing data and supporting organizational performance improvement activities.
  • Actively recommends and participates in performance improvement activities as needed.
