About The Position

RESPONSIBILITIES Bake and assess samples of manufactured cheese. Procure samples of incoming mozzarella cheese for lab testing and evaluate the cheese Post bake. Conduct production quality checks during manufacturing and obtain shelf life samples as needed. Examine quality issues with finished products. Inspect and correct products placed on hold based on provided instructions. Inspect and rework returned products according to provided instructions. Review and file COAs, daily production reports, and examine saved bags/labels from each run for accuracy. Review shelf life samples and subjectively analyze package integrity and product condition. Log film lot numbers, shred sizes, products on hold, bake results, and other quality check results. Prepare and send sample requests from customers and brokers. Maintain accurate records and paperwork. Maintain general housekeeping of work area. Work is conducted in a laboratory environment. Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, and/or safety glasses may need to be worn. The ability to constantly stand/walk, bend/flex/extend the neck, and frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with both hands is required. Work in a fast-paced production environment with an average temperature of 60-80 degrees F.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a quality-related role.
  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in SAP software.
  • Knowledge and understanding of chemical and physical processes related to cheese production and packaging quality.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, troubleshoot issues, and solve problems.
  • Experience working with dairy products, cheese, and aseptic techniques.
