About The Position

We are looking to hire Quality Control for our Quality Department. The Quality Control personnel audits and evaluates manufactured and incoming products, processes, procedures, forms, and tools to ensure accuracy and meet established standards set by Jonti-Craft and/or government regulations. The QC role will oversee the entire process from Carting Area, ATO to shipping, ensuring that all units are constructed and delivered in compliance with the designated specifications. He or she provides inspections to ensure the customer receives a quality product. The individual strives to maintain scrap levels within the parameters established by Jonti-Craft. Presence in the workplace is an essential function of this job. Hours are typically from 3:30pm - 12:00amm, Monday - Friday for 2nd shift

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Past auditing experience required.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and to make timely decisions.
• Ability to develop excellent process and product knowledge.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language for safety purposes in an understandable manner
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 150 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Reports key performance indicators relevant to all quality control and continuous improvement areas.
• Conducts internal audits of all quality processes and analyzes findings and provides corrective action recommendations.
• Confers with the Quality Control Supervisor to determine quality and reliability standards and complies with those standards.
• Disposition of return goods.
• Maintains a clean working environment.
• Recommends to the Quality Control Supervisor any changes in quality processes that will improve the quality of the product or the reduction in scrap.
• Monitors all scrap and waste levels and the quality processes within manufacturing, packaging, and shipping.
• Provides guidance on vendor quality.
• Assists with new product programs and pre-production units.
• Provide leadership with proactive action on the shop floor.
• Inbound inspection when assigned.
