Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience in mortgage underwriting.
• 5+ years' experience in underwriting mortgage loans.
• Knowledge of agency and investor guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Advanced attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong prioritization and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• DE, LAPP, and SAR certifications preferred.
• Experience with Encompass LOS system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Prefunding QC loan audits on assigned loan population to ensure quality and risk standards.
• Conduct risk evaluations on mortgage loans.
• Complete complex analyses on various loan products.
• Evaluate underwriting decisions effectively.
• Communicate findings and potential resolutions to the appropriate departments.
• Document concerns or discrepancies for corrective action.
• Provide support and assistance to the department as needed.
