About The Position

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for maintaining quality control of products. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Completes profiles on Tallow and Grease production, purchases and shipments. Monitors tank gauges and testing of tanks. Responsible for moving finished product from inside working tanks to outdoor tank storage area. Responsible for shipping finished goods by loading internal and external trucks, railcars and barges/vessels. Responsible for housekeeping in the tank storage area. Performs quality analyses on finished products. Samples Finished Goods (MBM, RAF and UCO) to be sent to Darling's central lab for testing. Reports test result information to management and plant employees to assist in making processing adjustments in order to achieve "IN SPEC" finished products. Informs Quality Manager & General Manager if any sample is out of SPEC. Maintains lab, materials, and work area in clean condition. Knowledgeable of plant products and specifications. Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in an industrial/plant environment.
