About The Position

As a Quality Control Technician, you will operate gas chromatography (GC) equipment, interpret chromatographic data, and perform sensorial evaluations in alignment with company standards. You will play a key role in meeting performance targets such as Goods Receipt Processing Time (GRPT) by executing timely GC analyses, managing escalations, and ensuring prompt sensory releases. Your work will directly support product quality and consistency while partnering with cross‑functional teams to uphold rigorous quality control practices. Success in this role requires strong expertise in chemical analysis, GC operation, olfactive assessment, and proficiency in MS Excel.

Requirements

  • A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in quality control or analytical role within the fragrance, flavor, or chemical industry.
  • Proven experience with Gas Chromatography (GC) equipment and techniques, including the ability to interpret complex chromatographic data and results.
  • Hands-on experience in sensorial analysis (olfactive and color assessments), with an understanding of fragrance and flavor profiles.
  • Strong MS Excel skills, including the ability to analyze large data sets, create reports, and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience with key performance indicators (KPIs) and a focus on operational efficiency, particularly in the context of Goods Receipt Processing Time (GRPT).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical data and findings to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Gas Chromatography (GC) equipment to conduct detailed chemical analyses of product samples.
  • Interpret GC chromatographic data and generate accurate analytical reports that influence product development and quality assurance decisions.
  • Perform sensorial evaluations, including color and olfactive assessments, and compare findings to established standards to ensure product consistency and quality.
  • Drive the achievement of Goods Receipt Processing Time (GRPT) above 95%, ensuring timely GC analyses, escalations, and sensor releases per day.
  • Utilize MS Excel to analyze large datasets, summarize findings, and prepare detailed reports to communicate results to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by maintaining strict documentation practices for all testing procedures, analysis, and results.
