About The Position

The Quality Control Technician performs all tasks according to ACI, ASTM, and PCI policies and procedures, focusing on Quality Control for Precast Concrete. This role involves performing assigned tasks from the Crew Leader and QC Manager, interpreting blueprints for product type and dimensions, calculating and preparing stressing reports, and safely conducting stressing operations. The technician is responsible for Prepour and Post Pour Inspections using approved drawings of the product being inspected, identifying noncompliance's, reporting them, and ensuring they are corrected. Other duties include labeling products for later identification and shipping, performing wet concrete testing, performing hardened concrete testing, performing aggregate acceptability testing and moisture testing, performing in-house welding inspections, performing outsourced embed acceptability testing, and visually inspecting and verifying shipping products.

Requirements

  • The ability to squat, bend, stretch, twist, and lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
  • The ability to climb at varying heights and perform needed tasks.
  • Be on their feet 8 to 12 hours shifts.
  • The ability to work in all weather and temperatures throughout the year.
  • The ability to keep or regain your body balance or stay upright when in an unstable position.
  • Work overtime and work mandatory Saturdays when scheduled.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
