About The Position

Tommy’s is looking for a Quality Control Technician to accurately assess assembled and manufactured product. This role will assist in the daily checks of completed assemblies and evaluation of kits. With a general knowledge of mechanical function, an eye for detail, and high standards; this position will be geared towards ensuring our customers a Tommy quality product. Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Attention to detail
Mechanical aptitude
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience within database systems a plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Process-oriented and strong collaborator with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across various departments
Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize workload
Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to exercise good judgment and make sound data-backed decisions

Nice To Haves

Previous warehouse and quality control experience
Shipping & receiving, light assembly, and ERP experience preferred

Responsibilities

Quality control (QC) of outgoing assemblies and kits. This includes: B.O.M. (Bill of Materials) evaluation, testing of equipment (electrical and water), checklist evaluation, and troubleshooting.
Quality control of incoming inventory from outside vendors including weldments and detergents.
Quality control of internal fabrication and textiles products.
Update and maintain QC Checklists.
Record scores of assemblies and kits, document daily work, and communicate with various departments to establish a transparent work environment.
Create work instructions when applicable.
Banding/Shrink Wrapping/Crating as needed for packaging outbound equipment.
Provide aid to production team as needed to accomplish on-time shipping.
Teach and provide an example to production on proper assembly methods when applicable to prevent repeat errors.
Maintain and update 5S standards for the area.
