About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to support inspection, documentation management, and operational quality processes within an industrial production environment in Commerce City, CO. This position plays an important role in verifying incoming and outgoing units, collecting samples, maintaining quality records, and supporting shipping and operational workflows. The technician will work closely with shop personnel, operations staff, and administrative teams to ensure products meet internal quality standards before being released for shipment. Responsibilities include documenting inspection results, verifying labeling and reporting accuracy, and maintaining organized digital records. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in industrial quality inspection, transformer equipment environments, or electrical manufacturing operations, particularly those familiar with sampling procedures and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in quality control, inspection, or industrial documentation environments
  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing inspection reports, labels, and test documentation
  • Familiarity with digital recordkeeping systems and photo-based documentation workflows
  • Ability to work safely around forklifts, processing equipment, and industrial materials
  • Experience using drafting or labeling software such as CorelDRAW or similar tools
  • Strong communication skills when coordinating with shop, operations, and logistics teams

Nice To Haves

  • Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) or hands-on experience performing transformer oil testing or related fluid analysis
  • Experience working in a transformer manufacturing, repair, or remanufacturing facility
  • Background in industrial inventory management involving equipment parts, components, or electrical systems
  • Exposure to switchgear manufacturing or electrical equipment production environments

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspections of equipment units, including internal and external photography and documentation for quality tracking
  • Prepare outgoing units by generating nameplates, applying identification labels, and completing required QC checklists
  • Verify documentation such as test reports and shipping records before units are released for delivery
  • Assist shipping and receiving teams by reviewing Bills of Lading (BOL) and supporting proper load handling procedures
  • Operate or monitor oil processing systems when required and assist with sample collection processes
  • Collect and document Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) samples or other transformer oil testing samples when applicable
  • Maintain organized digital documentation and job records using OneDrive or similar systems
  • Photograph outgoing shipments and confirm documentation is complete prior to release
  • Submit completed job records to internal departments and update tracking systems
  • Communicate with drivers, operations personnel, and shop staff to ensure efficient workflow and accurate documentation
