About The Position

Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual for the QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN position for our Cash Asphalt Plant located in Cash, AR. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic and have an uncompromising emphasis on safety. They will also possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and will be responsible for a wide variety of quality control efforts. This position reports directly to the Quality Control Manager.

Requirements

High School diploma required
Computer and data entry skills required
Demonstrable knowledge of aggregate testing procedures including gradations, XRF/chemistry testing, crushed count, deleterious count, basic geological knowledge preferred, but not required
Ability to problem solve and demonstrate critical thinking
Ability to lift 50 pounds continuously throughout the day
Basic mechanical/repair skills
Basic math and computing/technology skills
Ability to earn and maintain a drone pilot’s license
Flexible schedule (possible night and Saturday shifts)
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; be able to work on a team
Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of chemical analysis
Test materials produced to assure compliance with internal and external specifications
Provide technical services and support to internal and external customers
Support efforts to guarantee compliance with environmental agencies
Monitor production and certify test results for use in contract procurement or completion of job quality requirements
Maintain control charts and other records
Possess skills to operate a quality control lab equipment and testing materials
Operate testing equipment and company vehicles in a responsible and safe manner and will deliver samples off-site
Perform daily housekeeping operations and maintain a clean lab environment
May be called upon at discretion of the Manager or Quality Control Manager to perform and other duties assigned and/or to assist other departments if necessary
