About The Position

As a Quality Control Technician, you are responsible for L.B. Foster product inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications, and assist with in-house calibrations and investigations of product quality issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year manufacturing and quality control experience required.
  • Must complete LBF General Quality Awareness and Calibration training.
  • Knowledgeable in use of various inspection gages and practices
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Average proficiency in mathematics (i.e. tolerance ranges).

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished goods to specified criteria and test methods.
  • Clearly communicate nonconforming product / out of tolerance conditions to team members and supervisors.
  • Ability to reject product when requirements are not met.
  • Quality recordkeeping and supporting management in maintaining quality certifications.
  • Responsible for proper labeling and segregation of non-conforming/hold material.
  • Perform/manage calibration of inspection equipment.
