About The Position

Quality Control Technician – Columbia, SC We’re seeking a Quality Control Technician for a metal fabrication and machine shop located in Columbia, SC. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position offering long-term stability and opportunity for advancement. Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills – this is a must
Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and related inspection tools
Solid math and computer skills; familiarity with basic quality software preferred
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

Inspect incoming and outgoing parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
Read and interpret blueprints to verify part dimensions and tolerances
Perform random quality checks and document inspection results
Conduct process audits and assist in resolving quality issues
Support calibration activities and maintain accurate inspection records
Collaborate with production and shipping teams to ensure quality compliance
