For additional information about our company, visit our website at www.fisherind.com POSITION SCOPE Fisher Sand & Gravel-NM, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Technician for a full time position to work on various projects located throughout Southwestern New Mexico. Qualified applicants should have, or be able to quickly gain competence with concrete and aggregate production control testing methods and procedures. Previous experience is preferred, but not required. Concrete Quality Control Technicians sample and perform various test procedures on concrete and processed aggregates. The position requires individuals to travel to project specific sites throughout New Mexico. The travel will require that individuals be out of town Monday thru Friday with occasional weekend work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to routinely lift samples up to 65 pounds in weight
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work without constant supervision
  • Detail orientated
  • Ability to work well in small team environment
  • Possess proficient math and computer skills
  • Ability to routinely adapt to new schedules and locations

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Collect material samples
  • Accurately follow established testing procedures
  • Compile test data and review for accuracy
  • Enter test data into Excel reporting formats
  • Relay obtained test information to project personnel
  • Interact with project inspectors and personnel
  • Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area
