About The Position

The Quality Technician will contribute to the Quality Management System (QMS) by providing production support to identify and resolve quality issues within the production operation. Ensure that the product meets customer’s requirements (both internal and external) at each stage of the manufacturing process, carrying out relevant testing, documentation, and where necessary, facilitate corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues. Report quality issues data, ensuring the QMS is adhered to at all stages.

Requirements

  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
  • Basic understanding of precision measurement tools.
  • Proven ability to clearly communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Quality inspection experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatic, and electrical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components, subassemblies, and finished equipment to verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Investigate quality issues to identify root cause and facilitate appropriate corrective action activities through multiple departments.
  • Use measurement tools (e.g., tape measure, calipers, micrometers, instrumentation) to inspect dimensional and functional characteristics.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and work instructions to determine inspection requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Accurately document inspection results, nonconformances, and test data in quality records, ERP, and QMS systems.
  • Identify, document, and initiate nonconforming material reports (NCRs) and support root cause and corrective action activities.
  • Support production and assembly teams by providing real-time quality feedback and assisting with problem resolution.
  • Conduct first article inspections and validation of new or revised processes, parts, or equipment.
  • Assist with supplier quality activities, including incoming inspection, supplier issue documentation, and communication of quality concerns.
  • Maintain and verify calibration status of inspection tools and gages per established procedures.
  • Follow and support compliance with internal quality procedures and safety requirements.
