About The Position

Ale-8-One is looking for someone to join our Quality Control team in our QC Tech/Line Operator position. We are seeking a positive, safety oriented, team player who can join our team and make a strong and positive contribution. The daily work is determined by the business needs and includes testing all syrup and concentrate, testing Ale 8 finished beverages, logging all data and ensuring product is within specifications. The person in this role needs to have basic math skills, computer skills and be willing to be cross trained on multiple functions within the department.

Requirements

• Must have basic math skills.
• 2 years manufacturing/industrial experience
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must have strong computer skills and be able to adapt to and learn new technologies.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to remain calm and project a calm presence during tension and crisis.
• Must be dependable; excellent attendance and punctuality are critical to the success of this role.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays when needed.
• Possess good organizational skills.
• Follow PPE guidelines, as required.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs and adequately stand, sit, squat, kneel, bend, twist, reach and do overhead work as required to execute event assignments.
• Exposure to warm and cold weather conditions and temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-op procedures, production visuals and water system checks.
• Start-up/changeover/shut down product at Carbo Mixer for every production run.
• Maintain water system checks, chain lube checks, water softener checks and input data.
• Perform sensory sampling on every production run and maintain sample inventory.
• Maintaining Lab Inventory and rotation of lab supplies while keeping the lab clean and organized.
• Test all syrup and concentrate blending and record data.
• Ensure all product tested is within specifications.
• Collect, sample, and plate micros on a weekly basis and maintain records.
• Other duties as assigned.
