What you will be doing: Understand calibration and verification of measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, torque tools, pressure gauges, and temperature sensors. Calibrate specialized gauges used in ICE manufacturing, including crankshaft, camshaft, cylinder bore, piston, valve train, and fuel system components. M aintain and update calibration records , certificates, and history in calibration management systems. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 , and customer-specific requirements. Identify, label, and segregate out-of-calibration or damaged tools and coordinate corrective actions. Support internal and external audits related to calibration and metrology. Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime due to tool unavailability. Handle vendor calibration activities and evaluate calibration reports for accuracy and compliance. Analyze calibration trends and recommend preventive actions to improve measurement system reliability. Assist in Gauge R&R studies and measurement system analysis (MSA). Ensure proper handling, storage, and environmental control of calibration equipment and standards. Support new product launches and process changes with timely calibration readiness.
