Quality Control Technician (Heavy Civil/Highway Construction)
About The Position
Trumbull Corporation is seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to support the Montgomery Lock & Dam Project in Monaca, Pennsylvania. This is a major U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) infrastructure project located on the Ohio River navigation system with an estimated 8-year duration. This long-term, full-time position is responsible for field testing and documentation for a variety of construction disciplines. This role offers stable, long-term employment on a high-profile federal infrastructure project supporting the U.S. inland waterway system.
Requirements
- Experience in the inspection and testing of various construction disciplines like concrete, soils, welding, or maintenance of traffic.
- Experience in the construction industry with completion of at least one internship with a heavy civil, foundation, or steel erection contractor or equivalent work experience.
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technicians - Grade I with 5 years of experience.
- ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Grade I with 5 years of experience.
- ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector Certificate.
- ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to new challenges.
- Must be willing and able to travel or relocate as necessary for projects.
- Must be willing to work day or night shift pending on the project needs.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for quality control field testing and documentation, including a variety of construction disciplines like concrete, soils, welding, or maintenance of traffic.
- Active involvement in project safety programs.
- Assists project QC staff and project supervision.
- Works toward obtaining testing certifications.
- Effectively communicates with the project owner(s).
- Represent the company with the owner's inspectors.
- Travels to jobsites as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
