About The Position

We're seeking a Quality Control Technician to provide essential inspection, analysis, and support to our Quality Team. You'll play a vital role in achieving our quality objectives. This role offers the flexibility to report to the Quality Manager, Inspection Supervisor, or Section Leader, depending on current needs. You will have the opportunity to: Lead and execute testing across the production cycle: Perform Work in Process (WIP), final inspection, and detailed dimensional and Non-Destructive Testing (including Dye Penetrant). Maintain accurate records throughout. Prepare essential reports: Generate reports for products and customers, collaborating with staff as needed. Support source inspections: Ensure customer requirements are met during source inspections. Contribute to our Quality Management System (QMS): Assist with calibration, MRR, DMR, RMA processes, and more.

Requirements

  • High school completion required
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a technical or inspection role preferred (e.g., quality, engineering).
  • Basic understanding of blueprint reading and use of basic hand tools (micrometers, indicators, etc.) required.
  • Must be able to work the afternoon or midnight shift
  • The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
  • Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on Materion’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with Materion’s business requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ certification (Certified Quality Technician or similar), experience and knowledge of calibration, metrology, and quality system auditing, or additional educational degree(s) preferred.
