About The Position

As a Quality Control Technician at PPG, you will be responsible for performing scientific analyses to evaluate the quality of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods. This role involves conducting various chemical quality control assays and compiling statistical data to ensure compliance with established quality standards. You will work in a support role on projects of limited complexity and will be located at the Circleville, OH plant, reporting to the Supervisor of Quality Assurance Systems.

Requirements

• High-school diploma required.
• Knowledge of Chemistry.
• Preferably up to 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Test raw materials, in-process, and finished goods materials.
• Conduct analytical tests including acid/base titrations, hydroxyl and epoxy equivalency titrations, percent total neutralization, percent water value, percent solids value, Brookfield or Garder viscosity values, GC and GPC testing, particle and zeta size testing, density and conductivity testing.
• Maintain area organization and cleanliness.
• Generate certificates of analysis for outgoing material shipments.
• Monitor lab email for temporary process notes and lab work requests.
