General Summary The Quality Control Technician is responsible for sampling, testing, and inspecting construction materials or elements in a field setting to ensure compliance with the supplier and/or owner specifications.

Requirements

High School Diploma, required.
Valid driver's license and ability to drive.

Nice To Haves

Regional or State Agency certification for material being sampled, tested, and inspected, preferred.
1-4 years of related experience, preferred.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process; compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
Obtain and maintain certifications as required to perform testing.
Maintain thorough understanding of specifications, testing and reporting requirements.
Ability to communicate and schedule QC activities with crew and supervision.
Ability to interpret specifications and discuss with crew and supervision.
Ability to make decisions based on knowledge of specifications and testing requirements.
Collect, prepare and test construction material samples, interpret test results and distribute information to crews and personnel.
Maintain all QC logbooks and reports in accordance with specifications.
Follow all OSHA and MSHA regulations to perform duties in a safe manner.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Perform other duties as required.
