About The Position

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for assisting in the development, management, and maintenance of the company's quality management systems. This role involves training employees on quality guidelines and ensuring compliance with various regulatory standards, including USDA and FDA. The technician will conduct routine analyses of materials and products, perform inspections, and maintain documentation to support quality assurance efforts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of experience in food manufacturing.
  • 2 years of experience in quality control.
  • Basic computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and managing quality management systems.
  • Train employees on quality guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, Organic, Non-GMO, Gluten Free Certified, and SQF guidelines.
  • Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials and finished goods.
  • Perform visual inspections of finished products and raw materials.
  • Compile test data and perform appropriate analyses.
  • Calibrate, validate, and maintain testing equipment.
  • Participate in investigations of out-of-specification results and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance with established quality systems during production.
  • Record temperatures and verify code dates, ingredients, and labels.
