About The Position
Ensure specifications for each bottle are maintained throughout production run using hand and machine devices. Responsible for the continual flow of information with incoming and outgoing shifts along with the manufacturing team, manufacturing manager, and quality manager Responsible for investigating, evaluating, and taking action to maintain quality within established standards and guidelines Computer literate, including Microsoft Windows for data entry and paperwork requirements Must be able to pass written requirements in numeric, visual, verbal comp, space visualization, and work orientation
Requirements
- Must be dependable
- Have a good attendance record
- Be able to understand bottle specifications to ensure proper bottle inspection
Nice To Haves
- 2-3 years in a manufacturing position with a focus on quality.
- Trained in analyzing SPC.
Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment
- Understands and adheres to all Silgan safety policies and procedures to prevent injury to self and co-workers
- Able to use calipers, height gage, wall thickness equipment, force gage, drop tester and other lab equipment
- Able to understand bottle drawings and specification sheets
- Able to work in a lab or manufacturing floor environment
- Able to train to standards, policies and equipment
- Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Manager
- Must wok safety and be able to read and write
- Good communication and motivation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Good personal safety, attendance, and performance
- Able to lift up to 35#
- Able to stand, bend, reach, and walk continuously for up to 8 hrs
