About The Position

The QC Team Leader supports the Department by leading and performing a full range of inspection and production-related tasks to ensure quality control which results in a product that meet and/or surpasses the customer’s expectations. Specific Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Oversees the work of the departments QC Technicians; serves as an acting leader when the Quality Manager is unavailable. Verifies team members’ compliance with procedures, policies, and job-specific requirements. Maintains weekly sheet rosters for QC Technicians. Completes pre-delivery samples and preforms required tests as required. Inputs and completes data entries for customer CoAs for both Shrink and Film Divisions. Completes and efficiently stores Standards. Understands customer requirements. Assists in root cause analysis and corrective actions for customer complaints. Notifies production staff immediately of any and all out-of-specification conditions pertaining to tested samples. Maintains required retains and files in correct order and location. Maintains hard copy and electronic files of test data and production data. Communicates quality issues with inter-departmental and intra-departmental staff and management, as necessary. Assists with maintaining quality of cosmetic, fit, form, and function of WIP and finished goods products. Assists with decision pertaining to unsatisfactory quality of finished goods products. Provides general analysis support to all departments, as needed. Adheres to all plant rules, policies, and procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Experience using multimeter rulers, calipers, scales and spectrometer
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Able to move and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to reach and bend
  • Must pass a color-blind test
