About The Position

ABOUT THE ROLE The quality control group monitors, supports, and influences the design, configurations, and actual construction necessary to guide our design and production teams to manufacture high quality industry leading homes and components for our customers in accordance with regulatory requirements. Primary Responsibilities: Documentation & Reporting Accurately file daily offline checklists and associated paperwork. Maintain and run DEACOM service reports on a weekly basis. Handle SSA and RTS reports and log manager walk data. Manage tool logs and load loose pictures for tracking. Complete and update CCI reports weekly after PFS inspections. Homeowner Packet Preparation Accurately create homeowner packets Include AC selection, duct/BTU/furnace/wind zone/temperature information. Create CDs and labels for homeowner packets. Record Retention Walk the lower lot daily and document issues; forward findings to appropriate departments. Input water line pressure testing and log electrical, plumbing, and gas test data. Identify duct square footage and furnace sizing. Log and track duct testing. Tool and Equipment Management Maintain and manage all QA tools: hi-pot testers, meters, gauges, scales, and hand tools. Log hi-pot tool data (send-off, storage, etc.). Keep the duct sizing chart and tool inventory updated. Process Improvement & Communication Participate in and log 5S walks, update associated spreadsheets and notes. Act as a 5S liaison between department heads and General Manager (GM). Help conduct label inventory Administrative and Training Support Perform accurate data entry as needed across all systems. Serve as E-Learning moderator for UKG corporate training classes. Additional duties as required by Supervisor

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • This can be a physically demanding job requiring the ability to lift 40+ pounds, to grip, work over head, pull at chest height, bend, stand, walk, kneel, crawl, push, pull, reach, climb and carry various materials and equipment.
  • High school diploma and substantial experience in and clear understanding of the requirements and expectations across multiple production areas in a fabrication / manufacturing environment expected.
  • Must have experience reading and interpreting schematics and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in quality control Inspection preferred including building code knowledge, ability to gain an understanding of construction manuals, standards, regulations, and specifications regarding the products.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with fellow employees and supervisors including when providing constructive feedback and inspection results.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team, to be trained, and take direction.
  • Flexible to work in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Not afraid to get dirty and handle tools/equipment daily.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
